Playing Catch Up (Part 1)

So during my benign neglect of the blog, many things have happened. Grace became a 2d grader. Max became a Kindergartener. I became PTA President. Grace turned 7. Max turned 5. Sean and I turned 40. And I strangely stopped taking many pictures. I will remedy that, and here is a part 1 of a small selection of what you may have missed over these past months.

Max graduated from preschool

Grace turned 7 and celebrated with a movie and pizza party. (Soooooo excited about those veggies!)

Grace's buddy Laila moved away to Washington DC (bringing with her Max's buddy Troy and my buddy Julie)

We were big groupies of the band Family Lines (featuring Uncle Ken, Uncle Tim and Auntie Sue)

We hung out at the Oakland Zoo

We had great seats at the Giants' game

We celebrated Grace's 7th birthday a second time at Great America

Back on the Blog Bandwagon

Ok - let's try this again again again. Hope springs eternal.

I'm just gonna jump in with Halloween - Grace was a dog and Max was a witch. We had a great time. Pumpkin patch and parade at school on Friday - 530 pumpkins to unload at 7am - but we had an amazing group of volunteers, so this PTA President was able to supervise, socialize and oversee, which appear to be my biggest strengths as Pres. :-)

Trick or treating on Saturday. Grace made thank you notes in advance that she issued to each house where she received candy until she ran out. :-)

Sunday took us to the Asian Art Museum where we saw a Burmese puppet show and a photographer from the NY Times took pix - look for us - we may appear soon.
